Nuvo Team & Collaborators at SMFM 2025: Showcasing Advances in Remote Pregnancy Monitoring

Nuvo

February 4, 2025

At SMFM 2025, Nuvo showcased advances in remote pregnancy monitoring through research presentations, collaborative sessions with industry partners, and engaging discussions on transforming maternal-fetal care through innovative technology.

Nuvo was honored to participate in the Society for Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) 2025 Pregnancy Meeting, held from January 27 to February 1, 2025, at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Denver, Colorado. The conference remains a pivotal event in maternal-fetal medicine, bringing together experts in high-risk pregnancies to discuss cutting-edge advancements in maternal and fetal care.

Throughout the week, Nuvo enjoyed reconnecting with long-time colleagues and forging new relationships with MFMs, partners, and researchers. A prominent theme at SMFM 2025 was the continued growth of remote pregnancy monitoring, an area in which Nuvo is pioneering innovative solutions.

Remote Pregnancy Monitoring at SMFM 2025

Dr. Nadav Schwartz held a dynamic poster presentation on "Empowering Patients to Conduct NSTs from Home", showcasing real-world data on over 2,000 remote NST sessions using Nuvo technology. The session highlighted the high at-home fetal monitoring success rates, demonstrating its potential to improve accessibility and patient outcomes. Special recognition goes to Nuvo's Dr. Amit Reches and Barak Laish for their dedication and contributions to this research.

Our esteemed partners at Philips attracted a large audience for their Learning Lunch session, "Obstetric Innovation that Transcends Care Settings." The discussion, led by Dr. Richie Broth, Dr. Sina Haeri, and Dr. Michael Ruma, provided insights into how remote pregnancy monitoring transforms prenatal care. The speakers covered advancements in remote fetal non-stress testing (NST), blood pressure monitoring, and glucose tracking, emphasizing how these technologies reshape obstetric care.

Obstetric Innovation & Scientific Forums

Nuvo was also thrilled to engage in the Scientific Forum on Obstetric Innovation, chaired by Dr. Adam Lewkowitz and Dr. Alisse Hausping. During the session, Dr. Richie Broth sparked an engaging discussion on remote fetal monitoring, addressing its benefits, challenges, and lessons learned from real-world applications. Attendees gained valuable insights into how remote NSTs can enhance clinical decision-making and improve patient adherence.

Dedicated Sessions on Remote Pregnancy Monitoring

Several additional sessions at SMFM 2025 explored various aspects of remote pregnancy monitoring (RPM):

  • Dr. Christina Yarrington from the University of New Mexico led a session on "Remote Blood Pressure Monitoring (RPM)," emphasizing the importance of RPM in detecting and managing hypertensive disorders during pregnancy.
  • A compelling poster presentation, "Perinatal Outcomes Following Implementation of a Remote Patient Monitoring Program for Hypertensive Disorders in Pregnancy," outlined the tangible benefits of RPM programs in improving maternal and fetal health outcomes.

Looking Ahead

MFM 2025 reinforced the growing importance of remote pregnancy monitoring in modern maternal-fetal care. The enthusiasm and engagement from healthcare providers, researchers, and industry partners demonstrated the medical community's readiness to embrace innovative solutions that enhance patient care and accessibility. Nuvo remains committed to advancing remote pregnancy monitoring technology and looks forward to continuing our collaborations with healthcare providers and partners to improve maternal and fetal health outcomes worldwide.
