Advanced AI-Powered Monitoring for the Future of Maternal-Fetal Care

Nuvo's flagship product, INVU™, non-invasively measures the body’s electrical activity and uses cloud-based processing to extract maternal and fetal heart rates algorithmically. Our wireless, non-invasive, user-friendly solution is currently being used in hospitals in the USA and Israel. Our core technology is a wireless, remote maternal-fetal monitoring system designed to improve access to prenatal care while maintaining clinical accuracy. The INVU platform is FDA-cleared and prescription-initiated, allowing real-time monitoring of fetal heart rate (FHR), maternal heart rate (MHR), and uterine activity (UA) from home.

How It Works

The INVU platform includes a wearable sensor belt with biopotential (ECG), motion, and acoustic sensors. These sensors:

  1. Detect physiological signals from both the mother and fetus.
  2. Transmit data wirelessly to a cloud-based Artificial intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithm for real-time processing.
  3. Analyze and validate data, filtering out noise and ensuring accuracy comparable to cardiotocography (CTG), the current standard for fetal monitoring.

Advanced Signal Processing & AI Integration

The system combines biopotential (ECG) and phonocardiographic (PCG) signals to provide beat-to-beat fetal heart rate measurements. The AI-driven cardiac-derived algorithm also enables remote uterine activity monitoring, expanding the system’s capability to include non-stress tests (NSTs) without requiring an in-clinic visit. A clinical study demonstrated that INVU’s uterine activity detection had a higher sensitivity (89.8%) compared to standard tocodynamometry (TOCO), reducing inaccuracies caused by maternal movement and obesity.
